Sean Dugan will enter his first season as the Alpha's coach at Eastern Michigan University in 2025. He previously served as a defensive analyst for the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
Before arriving in Ypsilanti, Dugan coached the bandit position (outside linebackers) at Austin Peay State University in 2022. There, he helped the Governors in the inaugural year of the ASUN Conference and led them to a co-conference championship with a 7-4 record.
A native of Pittsburgh, Dugan previously worked at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point from 2018-22, holding Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers (2018-20), and Defensive Backs (2021) assignments.
Prior to coming to UWSP, he worked with linebackers at Alvernia University after his playing days at Millersville University.
Dugan started 38-straight games over his four-year career with the Marauders from 2014-17. His senior season of 2017, he earned first-team all-conference honors and led the team in tackles, the second-most in the PSAC. He also earned All-Super Region I and honorable mention DII All-American laurels that season. He also led MU in tackles as a junior and earned second-team all-conference accolades.
