Entering his first season working for quality control is Josh Cole. Cole will work primarily with the special teams in 2019.
A native of Houston, Texas, Cole spent the 2016 season as a member of the Western Kentucky University football team after starting his career at Nassau Community College in New York. At WKU, he appeared in three games for a 11-3 WKU squad that captured a trophy in the Boca Raton Bowl. He totaled eight kickoffs for 483 combined yards (60.4) and recorded a season-high four kickoffs against Houston Baptist.
Cole transferred to Urbana University prior to the 2017-18 academic year and took over the starting placekicker position on the Blue Knight football squad. He also competed on the UU baseball team during the spring season.
Before arriving at EMU, Cole completed an internship at Georgia Southern University.
Cole earned a Bachelor’s degree in sport management from Urbana in 2019.
