Entering his first year at EMU in 2021-22 is Brooks Jenkins, who came to Ypsilanti after spending four years at the University of Mount Union.
Jenkins was an assistant coach for the Purple Raiders working work with the defensive line. During that time, Mount Union posted a 44-2 record with four Ohio Athletic Conference tiles and the NCAA 2017 Division III National Championship.
Jenkins was a three-year starter on the offensive line, a two-time All-OAC selection and a starter on the 2015 National Championship team. He started every at left tackle in 2016 on his way to All-American honors and the Ken Wable Award as the top lineman in the conference.
A native of Hilton Head, S.C., he graduated from Mount Union with a bachelor's degree in Sport Business and a master's degree in Educational Leadership.
