PERSONAL: Full name: Jae'Vante James Ray... Son of James Ray and Cherisha Bracken... Has two brothers, Dae'Shawn and James Ray Jr., and two sisters, Janotta and Ayanna... Criminology major... EMU: 2015: Walked-on to the team during fall camp... HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Ellet High School in Akron, Ohio... Played under head coach Joe Yost as an Orangeman... Was a four-year letterwinner and served as a team captain his senior year... Was second team All-City for three seasons, and was given the All-City academic award in 2014... Led his team to an 8-2 record his senior year while recording 48 tackles, forcing two fumbles, breaking up three passes and making six interceptions.
