Luke Klawiter was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at Eastern Michigan University in 2020. He serves as the primary athletic trainer for the EMU baseball team.
Before his arrival in Ypsilanti, Klawiter was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Stanford University. He served as an athletic trainer for the Cardinal football team for the 2018-19 season. In 2019, Klawiter took over care for the Stanford field hockey and women’s open and lightweight rowing teams. The field hockey team won an America East conference championship during his stay.
Previous to Stanford he worked as a year-long Intern Athletic Trainer with the Houston Texans.
A native of Jenison, Mich., Klawiter is a 2015 graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s of science in athletic training. Klawiter went on to complete his Master of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University in 2017. While earning his degree, he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Morgantown High School and HealthWorks Rehab and Fitness.
Klawiter is a certified athletic trainer licensed by the State of Michigan and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. He is holds certifications for Graston’s technique, CES, and dry needling.
