A native of Detroit, Mich., Kevin Wheeler enters his fourth season as Jay Alexander’s Director of Baseball Operations.
Wheeler's duties include; planning and organization of all EMU Baseball's fundraisers and Community Service Projects. He also assists with team travel logistics, video scouting and game day operations.
Wheeler played baseball at and graduated from Detroit Southwestern High School. After high school he joined United States Navy and served for five years, where he was stationed in Italy and Japan. After leaving the Navy, Wheeler lived and played baseball in Japan.
Wheeler returned to the United States in 2008 to begin his bachelor’s degree at Eastern Michigan, where he is currently pursuing a degree in sport management. Wheeler has a daughter, Kiara (11).
