PERSONAL: Full name: Bronson Hill...Son of Linda Hill...Marketing major...EMU: Football: 2013: Started seven of 11 games for the Eagles...Collected All-MAC Third Team accolades...Ranked 31st nationally in rushing, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career and becoming the first EMU running back to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season since 2003... Carried the rock 196 times for 1,101 yards on the ground, averaging 5.6 yards per carry...Rushed 23 times for 257, averaging11.2 yards per carry against Ohio (Oct. 19)...Passed the century mark in rushing yards six times throughout the season...Recorded 234 all purpose yards (143 rushing, 91 receiving) and two touchdowns at Army (Oct. 12)...2012: Played in 11 games, registering seven starts...Earned the team’s James M. “Bingo” Brown Most Valuable Offensive Player Award...Led the Eagles in rushing with 905 yards, averaging 82.8 yards/game...Found the end zone a team-leading seven times for a total of 42 points...Had 1,113 all-purpose yards over the course of the season, 101.2 yards/game...Became one of two EMU runners in school history to record two 50-yard plus runs for scores in a single game when he carried the ball 28 times for 283 yards and four touchdowns against Toledo (Oct. 13), earning the following honors: National Running Back of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards, MAC West Division Offensive Player of the Week and MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week...Reached double digits in carries each of the final seven games...Also had six tackles over the course of the season...TRACK: 2012-13: Indoor: Competed in five meets for the Green and White…Took bronze in the 60-meter dash at the Silverston Invitational, Jan. 26, crossing the line in a personal-best time of 6.95…Placed ninth at the MAC Indoor Championships, finishing the 60-meter dash in 6.97…2011: Appeared in eight games on special teams and recorded five total tackles, three solo and two assists...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Catholic Central H.S. in Grand Rapids, Mich. where he played football for Head Coach Todd Kolster... Ran for 23 touchdowns as a senior, breaking Catholic Central’s single-season touchdown record of 18 set by Perry Foster, the leading rusher on the 1987 Class B state championship squad who later played at EMU...Had a career night with 483 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns as the Cougars stopped Spring Lake, 45-34, in a frenetic Division 4 first-round playoff matchup...Was named the WZZM-TV MVP of the Week following a 169 yard and three touchdown performance in a win over Coopersville...all-conference honoree, was also a second team all-state selection...Also a standout in track, winning the Division IV state championship.
