Postgame Fireworks to Highlight Friday Night Football at The Factory Sept. 4

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University Athletics will add a new element to Friday night football at The Factory when the Eagles host San José State University Friday, Sept. 4. Following the 6:30 p.m. non-conference matchup, fans will be treated to a 10-minute fireworks display over Rynearson Stadium, providing a new finale to an evening that will also feature Cruise Night and the Built by Eastern celebration.
The postgame fireworks will highlight an evening designed to bring together several of the traditions and communities that make Eastern Michigan football special. The Eagles and Spartans will meet under the Friday night lights before the celebration continues following the final whistle. In accordance with encouraged local guidelines, the fireworks display will feature reduced sound levels, with no large booms associated with traditional fireworks shows. The presentation is designed to provide fans with a memorable postgame experience while being mindful of the surrounding community.
Before the Eagles take the field, Cruise Night will bring a longtime Eastern Michigan football tradition to a new name and format. Formerly known as the Car Show, Cruise Night will feature a collection of classic and custom vehicles throughout the stadium terraces.
The event celebrates the connection between Michigan's car culture and Eastern Michigan football, with vehicles from across Southeast Michigan on display throughout the day. From classic muscle cars to timeless rides, Cruise Night will give fans a chance to see the vehicles before heading into the stadium for kickoff.
Cruise Night participants receive a game ticket and concession package with their registration.
Friday night's festivities will also include Built by Eastern, which recognizes the people who have helped shape Eastern Michigan University's history and future. Faculty, staff, military members, alumni, and supporters from throughout the region will be celebrated during the evening.
The game serves as a rematch of both the 1987 California Bowl and the 2022 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, both won by EMU, and marks the first regular-season meeting between the programs.
Tickets for the San José State game are available in a variety of seating options.
Reserved Single Game Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on game day in Sections 104-109. General Admission Single Game Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on game day. Home sideline general admission is available in Sections 110-114, while visitor sideline general admission is available in Sections 115-131. The Reserved Value Pack is $80 in advance and includes four tickets in Sections 104-109. The General Admission Value Pack is $60 in advance and includes four tickets in all home or visitor general admission sections.
Group tickets are $10 per ticket for groups of 15 or more.
