Devereaux Named to Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist

The list recognizes the top 1,000 all-star game eligible players in college football
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University wide receiver Nick Devereaux (Novi, Mich./Brother Rice/Davenport) has been named to the 2027 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist, the East-West Shrine Bowl announced today, July 29.
The Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist recognizes the nation's top NFL Draft eligible players and serves as the first step in the East-West Shrine Bowl selection process. Compiled by the game's scouting department, the list identifies players who are under consideration for an invitation to the prestigious all-star game, which showcases many of college football's top senior prospects each year.
Devereaux enters the 2026 season following a breakout campaign in which he emerged as Eastern Michigan's top receiving threat. The graduate wide receiver led the Eagles with 510 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions while finishing second on the team with 34 catches. He earned All-Mid-American Conference Third Team honors after starting 10 games and recording at least one reception in every contest.
One of the nation's most productive touchdown receivers in 2025, Devereaux ranked 30th nationally with seven touchdown receptions, the highest total by an Eagle since Tanner Knue hauled in nine scoring catches during the 2022 season. His seven touchdown receptions also tied for the seventh-most in a single season in program history.
Devereaux saved his best performance for conference play, hauling in five receptions for a career-high 121 yards and two touchdowns against Ohio, becoming the 65th player in program history to record a 100-yard receiving game. Throughout the season, he established new career highs in receiving yards four different times while developing into quarterback Noah Kim's top target.
Prior to his breakout season, Devereaux had recorded only one reception during his first two seasons on the field for the Eagles after joining the program from Davenport University. His rapid development continued this offseason as he earned preseason First Team All-MAC honors from Phil Steele.
The East-West Shrine Bowl, college football's oldest postseason all-star game, has provided NFL hopefuls with an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of professional scouts since 1925. The game benefits Shriners Children's and has helped launch the professional careers of hundreds of NFL players.
