Although relief pitchers Greg Kennedy (Ravenna, Ohio/Jonathan Alder /Lake Erie College) and Emmett Gillies (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley/Akron) held Kent State scoreless over the final four frames, EMU's offense was unable to mount a comeback.
