Borchardt's four walks tie for the most in the MAC this season

How it Happened

The Minutemen broke the game open in the second with a four-run frame, highlighted by a pair of two-run doubles. Eastern Michigan starter Cal Rutherford (Canton, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) was tagged for five runs in his 1.2 innings of work before the bullpen took over.
UMass continued to add to its advantage, scoring once in the third and twice in the sixth, capitalizing on EMU's struggles with command. It added two runs in the ninth inning to bring the score to 10-0, where it remained through the bottom of the ninth, securing the series win for UMass.
