EMU opens the season Saturday, Aug. 30, at Texas State
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Coach Chris Creighton and the football program announced today, Aug. 24, the six team captains for the 2025 season. The group includes defensive lineman Jefferson Adam (Ypsilanti, Mich./Washtenaw International/Hocking College/Iowa State), running back Tavierre Dunlap (Del Valle, Texas/Del Valle/Michigan), defensive back Dramarian McNulty (Brookhaven, Miss./Niceville (Fla.)/WCU/Mississippi Gulf Coast CC), quarterback Noah Kim (Centreville, Va./Westfield/Michigan State/Coastal Carolina), linebacker Zach Mowchan (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York), and offensive lineman Mickey Rewolinski (Caledonia, Wis./Union Grove).
"We have an excellent Torch Bearer Leader Group this year, so I wasn't surprised by how many different guys received significant amounts of votes," said Creighton. "This is the first time that we have had more than four captains, but these guys got the most votes from the team and are excellent choices."
From Ypsilanti, Mich., Adam brings experience from Hocking College and Iowa State. He played in all 12 games last season, totaling 25 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss. Adam has earned recognition from the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
Joining EMU from Del Valle, Texas, and the University of Michigan, Dunlap is a versatile offensive threat at the running back position. He scored his first career touchdown against Northwestern in 2024 and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
From Brookhaven, Miss., McNulty appeared in 10 games last season, recording 25 tackles, one interception, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble.
From Centreville, Va., Kim brings experience from Michigan State and Coastal Carolina. He has thrown for over 1,000 career yards and 10 touchdowns and is known for his poise and leadership at quarterback.
Hailing from Dillsburg, Pa., Mowchan has demonstrated resilience and defensive leadership throughout his career. He posted a career-high 15 tackles against Jacksonville State in 2024 and has earned Academic All-MAC honors.
A native of Caledonia, Wis., Rewolinski started all 12 games last season and has earned multiple Academic All-MAC honors. A recent graduate with a Master's in Management, he provided veteran leadership along the offensive line.
