Eastern Soccer Reveals 2025 Promotional Schedule

EMU opens season Thursday, Aug. 14, at 4:30 p.m. against Cincinnati
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University soccer team has announced its 2025 promotional schedule, Aug. 11.
Coming off a six-win improvement under second-year Head Coach Taylor Clarke, Eastern hosts 10 home matches in 2025 at Scicluna Field. All home matches are free.

Thursday, Aug. 14, at 4:30 p.m. vs Cincinnati — 734 Day (Season Opener)
We'll kick off the season by celebrating Ypsilanti with a 734 Day t-shirt giveaway (while supplies last) and a special appearance from Swoop. The senior class is deeply connected to the local community and wanted this game to reflect their appreciation for Ypsilanti.
Thursday, Aug. 21, vs UIC — Back to School Night
This match lands right after move-in, so we'll partner with Housing to promote it to incoming students. Planned activations include:
We'll honor our senior class while continuing to strengthen community ties by inviting local organizations and supporters to attend. Swoop will be on hand to help us celebrate our seniors.
Thursday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m. vs Loyola Chicago — Spirit Day / Mental Health Awareness
A white out game to show school spirit, followed by Field Day at Rynearson Stadium. We'll also spotlight the importance of mental health, especially for student-athletes navigating challenges both on and off the field.
Thursday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m. vs Buffalo — Our House, Our Green (Homecoming Week)
We're going big with a green out to show our pride. Students can get exclusive giveaways, including hard hats and limited-edition t-shirts.
Sunday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. vs Ohio — Future Eagles / Kids Club / FSL Day / Eagles Unite
In partnership with Volleyball, we'll raise awareness for breast cancer during October's awareness month.
Thursday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. vs Ball State — Socctoberfest
A fall-festive match celebrating community, soccer, and seasonal fun — complete with food, games, and themed experiences.
Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. vs Akron — Pups on the Pitch / Alumni Day
Fans can donate dog food or toys to support a local shelter and receive a recycled tennis ball. A fun, dog-friendly day for all ages. We are welcoming all EMU soccer alumni, featuring a halftime recognition.
Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. vs NIU — Kick or Treat / Girl Scouts Day
Costumes encouraged! We're bringing Halloween to the pitch with Kick or Treat for local families. Girl Scouts will also be in attendance for a full weekend of fun, capped off with Swoop and post game autographs.

- Kids Club members will join the team on the field as anthem buddies and participate in a halftime scrimmage.
- Postgame autographs for all youth in attendance.
- Fraternity or Sorority with the highest attendance will receive a signed team soccer ball.
