The 2025 season begins on Saturday, Aug. 30, when Eastern Michigan travels to play Texas State University in a non-conference matchup. The Eagles will return home to play Long Island University (LIU) Saturday, Sept. 6. The home opener on Crosby Field inside Rynearson Stadium will allow fans to catch their team on the grey turf for the first time.
The following week, on Saturday, Sept. 13, EMU will travel to Lexington, Ky., to play the University of Kentucky. This game is a tall order against a Southeastern Conference opponent, but it is a chance for Eastern Michigan to make some noise nationally. The non-conference schedule will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 20, when the Ragin' Cajuns of the University of Louisiana visit Ypsilanti.
Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 27, with a road contest at Central Michigan University. The 2025 campaign marks Eastern Michigan's 50th Anniversary in the MAC. EMU joined the league officially in 1973, however, a complete conference schedule was not played until two seasons later. The contest will mark the 103rd all-time meeting between EMU and CMU, which is the longest-running rivalry between any two schools in the league. It is also the second-longest-running series within the state of Michigan, trailing only the Michigan-Michigan State series.
The Eagles will continue their road swing Saturday, Oct. 4, when they travel to the University at Buffalo to meet the Bulls. After two consecutive road games, Eastern Michigan returns home to "The Factory" Saturday, Oct. 11, to play host to Northern Illinois University in its final season as a member of the MAC.
Following the home contest, Eastern Michigan will once again travel to Miami University Saturday, Oct. 18, before hosting defending MAC Champion, Ohio University, Saturday, Oct. 25.
As the season moves into November, EMU will get its first bye week on Saturday, Nov. 1. This will provide the team with a well-deserved chance to rest and gear up for the season's all-critical stretch run.
The Eagles will get back into action after a 14-day break with a home game against Bowling Green State University Saturday, Nov. 8, prior to hitting the road once more for an encounter with Ball State University Saturday, Nov. 15. After a 10-day gap, Eastern Michigan will wrap up its home schedule Tuesday, Nov. 25, against Western Michigan University.
The season will culminate in a possible appearance in the 29th MAC Football Championship, which will be hosted on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Ford Field in Detroit.
For fans seeking the ultimate experience, exclusive season ticket packages are available, offering perks such as VIP seating and parking privileges. With options to suit every budget and preference, there's never been a better time to secure your spot and join the EMU community in cheering on the Eagles to victory.
Ultimate Fan Season tickets include a chairback with increased legroom on the 50-yard line, along with VIP Season Parking ($90 value) for just $180.
Reserved Season Tickets are available for $135 (Reserved Sections 104-109) or General Admission Season Tickets are $108 (Sections 110-114 and all visiting side). Additionally, former EMU student-athletes can purchase an E-Club membership for $200 that provides season tickets for all home football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games.
The Pride of the Peninsula Season Tickets are a $170 package and are available for supporters of the EMU Marching Band. It provides season tickets for all home football games and a $30 donation to the band.
The Alumni Season Value Pack, which includes four reserved tickets per game, also returns for just $360. Meanwhile, VIP season parking in the George Gervin GameAbove Center parking lot will also be available for $90.
Eastern Michigan will commence official season preparations with spring practice on Monday, March 10. This will be followed by a stretch of 15 practice sessions, culminating in the annual spring game Friday, April 11. Additional information, including updated kickoff times, television broadcasts, and promotional game themes, will be available in June.
