MAC Releases Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll

The Eagles are predicted to finish 10th in the regular season
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference released its Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll for the upcoming 2025 season Wednesday, Feb. 12. The poll, which is voted on by MAC head coaches, sees the Eagles predicted to finish 10th in the regular season.
The Cardinals of Ball State University were picked to finish first with six first-place votes and 95 points overall, followed by Kent State University, who garnered two first-place votes and 84 points.
Following Ball State and Kent State is Miami University and Bowling Green State University. Miami earned two first-place votes and 82 points while BGSU grabbed one first-place vote and 74 points. Western Michigan University, the University of Toledo, and Northern Illinois University are slotted in the No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 spots, with 66, 59, and 39 points, respectively.
Ohio University is predicted to place eighth with 33 points, followed by Central Michigan University, who was projected to finish ninth with 32 points.
Second-year Head Coach Robbie Britt's Eastern Michigan University Eagles come in at tenth with 23 points.
The University of Akron rounds out the voting with 18 points. The top six teams at the end of the regular season will qualify for the annual MAC Tournament, beginning Wednesday, May 21, in Avon, Ohio, where the champion will punch their ticket to the NCAA Regional round of the playoffs.
Following suit with the regular season voting, Ball State led the way with five votes to win the MAC Tournament, followed by Bowling Green and Kent State with two. Miami and Western Michigan each received one tournament champion vote.
