Hart Nets Career-High 32 Points in MAC-Opening Loss at Akron

AKRON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Carlos Hart scored a career-high 32 points for the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team in the Mid-American Conference opener at the University of Akron Friday, Dec. 19, inside James A. Rhodes Arena. Akron prevailed, 93-72.
Hart was 9-of-14 from the floor while going 12-of-18 at the free throw line in a game that EMU led for just 32 seconds.
Mohammad Habhab (Dearborn, Mich./Dearborn/Central Michigan) added 12 points.
How It Happened
Akron burst out to a quick 20-9 advantage before Eastern rallied with a 13-4 run to cut the deficit to 24-22.
The Zips controlled the rest of the half, taking a 48-34 lead into halftime.
UA continued to build its advantage throughout the second half. The Zips led by as many as 29 at the 4:18 mark at 87-58 before winning 93-72.
