Seven different Eagles scored at least six points

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team dropped an 80-65 decision to Purdue University Fort Wayne Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Memorial Coliseum as seven different Eagles scored at least six points.
 
Eastern trailed by as many as 26 points before making a comeback attempt, cutting the deficit to as few as 13 with 6:36 left as PFW secured its 29th-straight home non-conference win.
 
Addison Patterson (Mississauga, Ontario/Bella Vista/Northwestern State) led Eastern with 13 points while Mohammad Habhab (Dearborn, Mich./Dearborn/Central Michigan) and Mak Manciel (Detroit, Mich./Stevenson/Detroit Mercy) added nine points apiece.
 
How It Happened
Eastern started slow, surrendering an early 8-2 lead.
 
EMU rebounded with four three-pointers in a 2:22 span to take a 14-13 lead.
 
PFW controlled the final 13 minutes of the half, outscoring the Eagles 34-16 the rest of the way to lead, 47-29, at halftime.
 
The hosts expanded their lead to as many as 26 at 59-33 with 13:59 left before EMU made a 23-10 run to cut the deficit to 69-56 at the 6:36 mark.
 
Eastern drew no closer the rest of the way as PFW secured an 80-65 win.
 
Game Notes
» Eastern falls to 6-5 overall while PFW moves to 6-6 overall.
» Eastern was 25-of-50 (50.0%) from the field and 8-of-22 (36.4%) from the three-point line, while PFW was 28-of-56 (50.0%) from the floor and 5-of-14 (35.7%) from three-point range.
» EMU lost when shooting at least 50.0% from the field for the first time since Feb. 11, 2025, when Eastern shot 55.6% in the loss at Ball State.
» The Eagles had seven players with at least six points for the second-straight game.
» With his 13 points, Addison Patterson has seven games in double digits this season and 64 in his career.
» Carlos Hart (Miami, Fla./North Miami/Valdosta State) recorded a Division I career high with seven assists.
» Mak Manciel converted a trio of three-pointers, marking his third game with a trio of triples this season. He has 17 games with at least three conversions from beyond the arc in his career.
» Gregory Lawson II (Saginaw, Mich./Oak Cliff Academy) knocked in a pair of three-pointers, marking the first time in his career with multiple made triples. He also matched his career high with six points, previously set against Cleary, Dec. 5.
» Mohammad Habhab finished with nine points, falling one point short of scoring at least 10 points in his first 10 games played this season. Despite the snapped streak, he became the first Eastern freshman to have nine-straight games with at least 10 points in each game since James Thompson IV had a streak of 13 games in the 2015-16 season.
 
Historical Notes
» Eastern and PFW met for the sixth time as the Mastodons evened the all-time series at 3-3.
