CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University-Kent State University football game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, will kickoff at 3:30 p.m., the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Sept. 16. The game will be shown nationally on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Additionally, WEMU (89.1 FM) and The Varsity Network will provide audio coverage of the game from Dix Stadium in Kent, Ohio.

EMU and KSU will meet on the gridiron for the 36th time in history between the two programs, with the Golden Flashes holding the series lead, 19-16.

Last year, Kendric Nowling turned a game-opening onside kick attempt into a 44-yard touchdown and Eastern Michigan went on to defeat Kent State 28-14, at Rynearson Stadium, Oct. 14, 2023. When the Golden Flashes tried to open the Mid-American Conference game with a surprise, the ball and a player from each team collided at the same time and Nowling scooped it up and raced to the end zone. Eastern Michigan also got two rushing touchdowns from Samson Evans, who gained 47 yards on nine carries to surpass 2,000 for his career.
