Bonney, Srinivasan, and Stanford Named Academic All-MAC

The award marks the first in each student-athlete's respective career
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University volleyball student-athletes Kendal Bonney, Surabhi Srinivasan, and Abby Stanford earned Mid-American Conference (MAC) Academic All-MAC recognition as the conference announced the 2024 Volleyball Academic All-MAC Team, featuring 83 student-athletes Monday, Dec.30.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
The honor marks the first for all three student-athletes. Stanford (Zanesville, Ohio/Tri Valley/Ashland) led the way with a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a psychology major. She was followed by Srinivasan (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome), who post a 3.83 mark while majoring in mathematics/secondary education. Rounding out the list for the Eagles was Bonney (Pioneer, Ohio/North Central/Ashland), who holds a 3.75 GPA, majoring in elementary/early childhood teaching & learning.
Bonney and Stanford's awards mark their second respective academic award of the season, as the duo was recently named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District for the first time in their respective careers, Dec. 17.
