CHICAGO, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) – Christian Henry scored 21 points as the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team was topped at unbeaten Loyola University Chicago, 76-54, Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Gentile Arena.
Henry (Chicago, Ill./The Skill Factory/Panola College) was 8-for-17 from the field while Da'Sean Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) scored 13 points.
How it Happened
Nelson scored the game's first basket but Loyola Chicago responded with the game's next 15 points.
A quick 7-0 Eastern spurt, highlighted by two buckets from Arne Osojnik (Ljubljana, Slovenia/Dream City Christian), brought the Eagles back within six before the Ramblers used a 6-0 run later in the half to lead, 39-26, at the intermission.
Loyola Chicago pushed its lead to as large as 74-48 with 1:07 to play prior to Yusuf Jihad (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington/Oakland) drilling his only two three-point attempts of the game.
