CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University men's basketball senior forward Da'Sean Nelson has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, the MAC announced Monday, Dec. 23.

Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) netted a career-high 27 points to go with a career-high 13 rebounds for his first career double-double as the Eagles topped Wright State, 86-82, Dec. 21, overcoming an 11-point halftime deficit.

Nelson, who has scored 10-plus points in seven-straight games for the first time in his career, produced 19 second-half points in the win. He added a pair of assists and one steal while drawing 11 fouls against the Raiders.

By also receiving the honor, Dec. 2, Nelson is the first Eagle since the 2019-20 season to earn multiple MAC Player of the Week honors in the same season as Boubacar Toure and Ty Groce each earned MAC West Division Player of the Week twice.

Nelson is averaging 14.0 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game in 2024-25, which includes 18.0 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game over the last seven games.
