MAC Announces Men's Basketball Preseason Poll

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team was picked to finish ninth in the Mid-American Conference standings in the 2024-25 season, as announced by the MAC Tuesday, Oct. 22, after polling the conference's 12 head coaches.
The Eagles (9th, 36 points) were sandwiched between in-state rivals Central Michigan University (8th, 55 points) and Western Michigan University (10th, 33 points) in the poll while Ohio University (1st, 121 points) received 11 of the 12 first-place votes as the predicted MAC champion.
Eastern, which features four returning players from the 2023-24 roster, did not have a player selected to the Preseason All-MAC Teams.
EMU is scheduled to open the regular season schedule at Texas State University, Nov. 4. Fans can preview the 2024-25 Eagles at the George Gervin GameAbove Center, Oct. 30, as they take on Central State University in an exhibition game at 6:30 p.m.
Eastern finished 10th in 2023-24 with a 6-12 mark in the MAC.
