Eagles host one-loss WMU Sunday at 1 pm.
ATHENS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University soccer team was topped by Mid-American Conference power Ohio University, 1-0, Thursday, Oct. 10 at Chessa Field.
How It Happened
Ohio scored in the 26th minute off a free kick from 20 yards out to take the lead.
The Eagles' first shot on goal was credited to senior Meagan Lukowski (Bay City, Mich./Bay City) off a corner piece, but the attempt from seven yards out was saved.
Redshirt sophomore Ella Holland (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody/Samford) made six saves, highlighted by a 53rd-minute kick save to keep the Eagles within one goal.

Ohio led in shots by an 11-5 margin while corners were even at four apiece.
Game Notes
» Eastern moved to 5-5-3 (1-2-3 MAC) on the year while Ohio moved to 8-1-4 (3-0-3 MAC) for the season.
» Redshirt sophmore Scarlett Thomas (Sterling Heights, Mich./Utica Academy/Missouri) played 90 minutes, marking Thomas' ninth full game of the season.
» Freshman Emily Kolodin (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) made her second appearance of the season, playing 17 minutes.

» After today's contest, Eastern trails in all-time series, 13-15-4, as five of the last six matches between the squads have come outside of Ypsilanti.
