EMU-CMU Time Set for 1:30 p.m. on ESPN+

The Sept. 30 contest will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. ET from Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University-Central Michigan University football game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, will kickoff at 1:30 p.m., the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Sept. 18. The game will be shown nationally on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Additionally, WEMU (89.1 FM) and The Varsity Network will provide audio coverage of the game from Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
EMU and CMU will meet on the gridiron for the 101st time in history between the two programs, with the Chippewas holding the series lead, 63-31-6. The EMU-CMU series is the longest-running rivalry between any two MAC schools.
Last year, quarterback Taylor Powell threw three touchdown passes - two of them in a pivotal third quarter - and ran for a score as Eastern Michigan rolled to a 38-19 victory over Central Michigan to close out the regular season at Rynearson Stadium, Nov. 25, 2022. Additionally, the Eagles beat Western Michigan and CMU in 2022 to take outright possession of the Michigan MAC Trophy for the first time since 2012.
Eastern will be looking for its first victory in Mount Pleasant since the 2011 campaign. That season, EMU invaded its rivals from the north and left with a 35-28 victory, Oct. 15, 2011.
