Golf Set For Regular Season Finale in Illinois

URBANA, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team treks west for the Fighting Illini Spring Collegiate, April 22-23, hosted by the University of Illinois. The 54-hole stroke play event that will cap the 2023 regular season – will officially christen the championship-caliber Atkins Golf Club.
The event not only marks the first collegiate event at the newly renovated facility, but also the Fighting Illini men's golf program's first event in the Urbana-Champaign community since the 2010-11 season.
The nationally ranked Fighting Illini headline a field that will feature eight other top programs, including five Big Ten Conference foes – Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Northwestern – along with Ball State, Eastern Michigan and Loyola Marymount.
Saturday will feature 36 holes of continuous play with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. CT, while tee times for Sunday's final round will begin at 8 a.m. CT. Pairings are still to be determined, and time are subject to change.
The event will serve as the Eagles' final tune-up before turning their attention to the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championship, April 30-May 2, in Athens, Ala.
