MOBILE, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) –
The third day in Mobile, Ala., for the Eastern Michigan University football team was filled with two F's: football and fun. The Eagles, who are preparing for the 68 Ventures Bowl later this week, went to work early Thursday, Dec. 21, before taking a break and enjoying the warmer, sunnier weather of the South.

The day opened with meetings before the team loaded the buses and headed over to UMS-Wright Preparatory for practice. Following the final main preparation session on the grass, the Eagles returned to the hotel and got ready for a day of fun.

First, Eastern traveled south to Dauphin Island for Beach Day. There, the Eagles and Jaguars from the University of South Alabama enjoyed lunch while also taking time to explore the aquarium, play some basketball, and, most importantly, spending time in the sand on the coast. After returning to the hotel for dinner, the team departed for TopGolf Mobile where many friendly competitions took place between teammates to close out the night.

Friday, Dec. 22, will be the final day before the Eagles take on the Jaguars in the 68 Ventures Bowl, which will kick at 7 p.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 23, inside Hancock Whitney Stadium. Friday will see Head Coach Chris Creighton meet with the media at 10 a.m. CT before Eastern takes the field at Hancock Whitney Stadium for its final tune-up. Following a team picture session, the Eagles will return to the hotel to get ready for the This is Alabama Mardi Gras Parade and Pep Rally that begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.
