Sow to Take Part in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

The game is set for Jan. 28 at the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.
PASADENA, Calif. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University senior offensive lineman Sidy Sow (Bromont, Quebec-J-H Leclerc-Champlain Lennoxville) has accepted an invitation to play in the 2023 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The game will take place Saturday, Jan. 28, and will continue its tradition of being played at the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena.
Founded in 2012, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected to be in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews and review tape.
Sow collected All-MAC honors for the third time in his career in 2022, earning first team honors again after collecting the same accolade a year ago and third-team accolades in 2020. The all-time leader in Eastern Michigan history in games played (56) and games started (54), he will go down as one of the best offensive linemen to don the green and white.
On the field for 949 snaps in 2022, Sow helped the Eagles lead the MAC in red zone offense (93.9%) and third down percentage (44.9), while finishing second in team passing efficiency (137.86). All told, the Bromont, Quebec, native directly allowed just two sacks this season and only six in his distinguished career.
Sow is just the fourth Eastern Michigan student-athlete to participate in the event. Previously, Darius Jackson (2015), Pat O'Connor (2016), and Brogan Roback (2017) earned invitations.
