SALINE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University swimming program dropped its final meet of the regular season, falling to the University at Buffalo 165.5-92.5, Jan. 21.
How It Happened
The Green and White won four events including a victory in the 1,650-yard freestyle by freshman Alexandra Kudo (Guelph, Ontario-John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute) with a mark of 17:12.25.
Junior Katie Shoen (Owego, N.Y. - Owego Free Academy) took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.86 while senior Carlin Hudson (Chattanooga, Tenn.-Chattanooga School for the Arts & Science) proved victorious in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:05.20. The Tennessee native also took the top spot in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.75.

The Eagles will look to the MAC Championships, Feb. 22-25, hosted by Miami University, for their next competition. Prior to the league championships, EMU will host its annual Senior Day Extravaganza Saturday, Feb. 4, at Skyline High School to honor its graduating class.
