Baseball Announces Walk-On Tryouts

Head Coach Eric Roof encourages full-time students to participate

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University baseball team will conduct open tryouts for students wishing to walk-on to the program for the 2022 season.

Students interested in learning more about the tryouts are required to attend an informational meeting, Tuesday, Aug. 30, starting at 4 p.m. in the Eagles Nest, located on the third floor of the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The tryout date will be two weeks later on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Oestrike Stadium.

Prior to trying out, potential student-athletes must:
  • Bring proof of a medical physical by a physician within the last 6 months
  • Bring proof of health insurance and a copy of the insurance card (front and back)
  • Must fully complete the initial health appraisal and provide relevant medical records
  • Be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Eastern Michigan University
  • Must adhere to Eastern Michigan University's COVID protocols
