Eastern Rowing Announces 2023 Signing Class

Eight student-athletes to join the Eagles this fall
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University rowing Head Coach Kemp Savage announced eight Class of 2023 signees to the program today, Aug. 15. The incoming first year class features five experienced rowers and three talent-transfer athletes.
"We are really excited to get our new freshmen class on campus," said Savage. "They bring a diverse athletic background and their experience is really going to build our speed. Our newcomers are going to be a huge part of our next step toward winning the Colonial Athletic Association Championship."
Joining Eastern as veterans of the sport are Ainsley Dean (Lewis Center, Ohio-Olentangy Orange), Lilly Losinski (Ann Arbor, Mich.-Ann Arbor Skyline), Emily MacIntyre (Wyandotte, Mich.- Theodore Roosevelt), Maggie Mueller (Crystal Lake, Ill.- Crystal Lake South) and Quinn Yesford (Beamsville, Ontario-Blessed Trinity Catholic). Phoebe Bissen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-Sturgeon Bay), Madison Cocks (Fort Wayne, Ind.-Snider) and Delani Fisher (Ellettsville, Ind.-Bloomington North) round out the program's Class of 2023 signees.
Phoebe Bissen Sturgeon Bay, Wis - Sturgeon Bay
A talent-transfer signee for EMU, Bissen comes to campus this fall as a former swimmer for Head Coach Kelly Rankin at Sturgeon Bay High School. Representing the Clippers, the first year earned two varsity letters and a first team all-conference selection in the 100m butterfly.
Madison Cocks Fort Wayne, Ind. - Snider
A three-sport athlete for Snider High School, Cocks joins the Eagles as a talent-transfer rower this fall. Representing the Panthers in cross country, swimming and track & field, the first year earned four letters over the course of her high school career. Cocks was also named All-Summit Athletic Conference three times.
Ainsley Dean Lewis Center, Ohio - Olentangy Orange
Dean joins the Eagles after two years of experience with the Olentangy Rowing Club. While attending Olentangy Orange High School, the first year was also a member of both the soccer and golf teams.
Delani Fisher Ellettsville, Ind. - Bloomington North
A decorated swimmer and golfer at Bloomington North High School, Fisher joins the Eagles as another talent-transfer athlete and a seven-time letter-winner. Under Cougars Head Coach Taylor McGregor, the first year served as a team captain for one year and earned the Scholar Athlete Award. Fisher was also a member of the Bloomington and Indiana Swim Clubs.
Lilly Losinski Ann Arbor, Mich. - Ann Arbor Skyline
Losinski comes to campus from Ann Arbor Skyline High School as a two-time letter-winner in rowing under Head Coach Kit Bennett. The Michigan native also rowed for the Washtenaw Rowing Center for one year before joining the Eastern program this fall.
Emily MacIntyre Wyandotte, Mich. - Theodore Roosevelt
A former member of the Wyandotte Boat Club, MacIntyre joins the Eagles after rowing under Head Coach Chandra Thompson at Theodore Roosevelt High School. An accomplished two-sport athlete, the incoming first year earned four letters in rowing and swimming for the Bears.
Maggie Mueller Crystal Lake, Ill. - Crystal Lake South
With years of experience on the water under her belt, Mueller comes to Eastern as a three-time rowing letter winner at Crystal Lake South High School under Head Coach Sue Koscielski. Apart from her time with the Gators, the first year also competed for the Sweeps & Sculls Rowing Club for five years.
Quinn Yesford Beamsville, Ontario - Blessed Trinity Catholic
Yesford heads to campus from Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School where she rowed under Head Coach Lindsay Sferrazza. The first year was also a member of the St. Catharines Rowing Club led by Head Coach Michele Fisher for four years.
