MAC Announces 2022 Football Preseason Media Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University football team was picked to finish fifth in the Mid-American Conference West Division today, July 26, in the league's preseason poll. The poll was announced at the conference's annual MAC Football Media Day at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland and was determined by the league's media members.
The Eagles received 52 points, finishing ahead of Ball State (42). Northern Illinois was selected to repeat as West Division champions with 122 total points, followed by Toledo (120), Central Michigan (112), Western Michigan (56), then EMU.
In the East Division, Miami was selected first with 139 total points, ahead of Kent State with 116 total points. Buffalo finished third with 78 points, followed by Ohio with 72 points, then Bowling Green (71) and Akron (28).
Four teams received votes to win the annual Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship Game between the winners of the West and East Divisions. The Huskies garnered nine votes, while Toledo (6), Miami (5), and Central Michigan (4) were each featured on ballots.
Once again this year's MAC Football Media Day will be shown live on ESPN+ from 11-1:30 p.m. today! The production will highlight the league's annual kickoff event as the hosts will visit with all MAC head coaches and several student-athletes throughout MAC Media Day.
Attending from Eastern Michigan will be Head Coach Chris Creighton, senior wide receiver Hassan Beydoun (Dearborn, Mich.-Dearborn), and senior defensive lineman Jose Ramirez (Lake Alfred, Fla.-Auburndale-Arizona-Riverside City).

Not only will MAC Football fans around the country be able to watch the live show previewing the upcoming 2022 season, but they will also have the opportunity to interact with the head coaches, student-athletes and league office regarding media day. The official twitter hashtag for the 2022 MAC Football Media Day coverage is #MACtion and #EMUFB. Season tickets are on sale in anticipation for the fall, as fans will have the opportunity to pick their seat inside the stadium. The "fan-friendly" 2022 schedule features six home games, five will be played before the month of October concludes. Furthermore, Eastern will defend the gray turf for four-of-six games between Sept. 24 and Oct. 29.
Eastern Michigan continues to offer the Ultimate Fan Season Ticket Plan for just $144. This package includes a wide chairback with armrests on the 50-yard line along with VIP season parking. Chairback Season Tickets are $108 and include a chairback in Reserved Sections 104-109.
Reserved season tickets are just $99 (Reserved Sections 104-109), while General Admission season tickets are $75 (Sections 110-114 and the visiting side).
