OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program continues its winter slate with a dual meet at Miami University Friday, Jan. 28.
The first event is scheduled for 11 a.m. inside the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.

LAST TIME OUT: The Eagles come into the Mid-American Conference matchup against the RedHawks riding high off a dual meet victory over league foe Ball State, Jan. 22. EMU defeated BSU, 167-133, inside Canham Natatorium this past Saturday. The Eagles finished with nine first-place finishes, including a score of 315.68 in the 1-meter dive from senior Bethany Berger. Berger's mark in the 1-meter is good for third in program history. Berger also finished first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 297.00.
Freshman Katie Shoen finished with a personal-best time of 23.90 in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing second in the event. That time is the second-best on the team in the 50-yard freestyle this season.

SCOUTING MIAMI: The RedHawks return to Oxford, Ohio coming off a loss at Buffalo, 122-178, Jan. 22. Miami has dropped three of its last four dual meets and is looking to snap a three-meet losing streak in dual meet formats. The RedHawks last dual meet victory came against Bowling Green, 150-148, Oct. 23. The program finished first in the Miami Invitational, Dec. 4, topping Grand Canyon University and Youngstown State University.

ON THE HORIZON: The Eagles will return to Michigan to celebrate its seniors in the program's annual Super Senior Day Extravaganza, Feb. 5, inside the Canham Natatorium.
