BELLEVILLE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University rowing team gained experience today, Sept. 12, against the University of Michigan on Belleville Lake. The duel-style race was the first for the Eagles this season and was considered a scrimmage between the two squads.
The EMU First Varsity Eight squad finished fourth in each of the 3,000-meter races. Additionally, the Second Varsity Eight crossed the finish line in sixth, seventh, and eighth twice.
COACH'S QUOTE
"I was happy with the consistency in the 1V8, the 2V was more variable," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "We were able to identify some point of focus out of this scrimmage will take into our fall racing."
