Rebecca Odusola will join the Eagles after competing at Indiana State
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University track & field program and Director/Head Coach Sue Parks continued to build the team's 2021-22 roster today, July 6, with the signing of seasoned veteran transfer, Rebecca Odusola (Chicago, Ill.-Mather (Indiana State)).
"Rebecca has had success in the MVC and we're excited to see if she can take her performances to the next level as an Eagle," said Parks. "She wants to work and has the right attitude to succeed."
Odusola will join an Eagle team that has been competitive in the 800m run and 4x400m relay in recent years. Since 2016, three members of the women's squad have claimed the Mid-American Conference title in the 800m with the most recent being Jenna Wyns' 2018 indoor victory. In the 2020-21 season, the women's 4x400m relay scored at the indoor and outdoor MAC Championships with fourth-place finishes at both meets.
"Rebecca is a great addition to Coach Parks' group where she will fill some holes in the mid-distance area as well as add more depth to our 4x400m relay," said Associate Head Coach Chris Best.

EMU: Joins the EMU track & field program as a transfer...HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mather High School in Chicago, Ill. where she participated in cross country and track & field…Four-time letterwinner for the Rangers…Set school records on the track in the 800m in 2:14.48 and 1600m in 5:13.17…Placed ninth at the 2017 IHSA 3A State Championships ...
