Elevating for You: EMU Athletics Launches Redesigned Website

Eastern Michigan continues its partnership with SIDEARM sports; the partnership began in 2005
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics has once again teamed up with industry leader SIDEARM Sports to launch a redesign of its official website – EMUEagles.com – Wednesday, Dec. 1. This is EMU's first website redesign since 2018 and the eighth since 2000.
The new and improved layout features a modern, interactive design, and creates the best user experience for the website yet. In addition to the updated overall look, the new-look site features ease-of-access to both sport-specific pages as well as other great areas of content, such as Eagle All-Access (video), the Eastern Insider Podcast, and Eastern social media accounts.
The fresh look, accessible and clear navigation, and responsive design adapt easily to the user's device (desktop, tablet, or mobile).
"We are thrilled to debut the new-look EMUEagles.com" said Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations Greg Steiner, who led the University's redesign efforts. "We had a vision for what we wanted this to look like, and the folks at SIDEARM Sports brought that vision to life. Our department looks forward to continuing to tell the stories of Eastern Michigan's tremendous student-athletes, coaches, and staff in many new and exciting ways through the powerful platform."
Part of the upgrade includes a newly-styled media wall featuring Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube posts in a larger and easier to view format on both the homepage and sport-specific pages. From the new media wall, fans can instantly follow @EMUAthletics and all of our 19 sport programs across multiple platforms. Additionally, the site has a better overall flow and makes finding specific content much easier for users. New in 2021, interactive tabs and display advertisements provide one-click transitions to ticket pages, special promotions, and unique content.
In addition to the redesign of EMUEagles.com, EMU and SIDEARM have made critical upgrades to its mobile application. New features such as increased access to team and roster information help fans to stay up-to-date with their favorite programs like never before. Fans are encouraged to download the EMU Athletics app on their iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet and take EMU wherever you go.
EMU was the first Mid-American Conference school to sign with SIDEARM Sports in 2005, the company now runs all of the league's 12 member sites in addition to the MAC's website.
