CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University junior kicker Chad Ryland (Lebanon, Pa.-Cedar Crest) collected Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week honors, the league announced today, Nov. 15. It marks the second time in 2021 that Ryland has garnered the accolade and the sixth-time overall in his career.

After starting the season just 3-for-6, the Lebanon, Pa. native has hit his stride, knocking in his last 10 attempts and 11 of his last 12 overall.

Eastern Michigan (6-4, 3-3 MAC) is looking to bounce back after a tough, 34-26, setback at the hands of Ohio. Meanwhile, the Broncos (6-4, 3-3 MAC) narrowly avoided an upset loss as it used a fourth-quarter comeback to escape, 45-40, versus Akron on the same night.
