Men's Basketball Announces Two Exhibition Games

The Eagles will travel to Oakland for a charity game, Oct. 28, and host Goshen, Nov. 5

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball program and first-year Head Coach Stan Heath announced the addition of two exhibition games to the 2021-22 schedule today, Oct. 14. 

The Eagles will travel to Oakland University Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. for a charity game. All ticket proceeds from the contest against the Golden Grizzlies will go to Covenant Academy, a Health Care Education training school that assists in filling the critical health care professional shortage in Michigan due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ticket will be $10 each for all seating options other than courtside seating. 

Eastern will Goshen College Friday, Nov. 5., at 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. Admission is free for all attendees. All fans must wear a face-covering regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. 

EMU has close ties to Goshen as the Leafs' Head Coach, Jon Tropf is an EMU alum. He spent four years as a men's basketball manager, including three as the head manager. In 2011-12, he was part of an Eagles program that won the West Division of the Mid-American Conference for the first time in school history.
