Swim & Dive Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

The award marks the 19th consecutive semester the Eagles have been honored
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team was named a Scholar All-America team for the fall 2020 semester by the College Swim & Dive Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced today, Jan. 19.
Eastern Michigan marked its 19th consecutive semester as a Scholar All-America Team, dating back to the spring 2011 semester, after finishing the fall 2020 semester with a 3.71 GPA.
Swimmers and divers showed remarkable resilience in the classroom this semester, all during a global pandemic upending much of their academic and athletic schedules. More than 450 institutions were named to the CSCAA's Scholar All-America team for their grades during the fall 2020 semester. To be eligible for the award, teams must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
Eastern Michigan University continues to finalize the remainder of GPAs from the fall 2020 semester. Averages from other EMU Athletics teams will be released in the following weeks.
