YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University football program held the second practice of its 2020 training camp on a sunny Thursday morning, Aug. 6, on the gray turf inside "The Factory" at Rynearson Stadium.
Day two of camp again featured a unique two-group look that saw a portion of the team complete a strength and conditioning workout while the other portion went through traditional on-field training. The two groups combined for a short special-teams workout before again splitting and switching roles for the remainder of the morning. The tactic allows for proper social distancing and increased safety for both the student-athletes and staff members who are present for everyday activities.
The Eagles were once again in just helmets so there was no tackling or falling to the ground of any sort. As the new players continue to get their feet wet in the Green and White, practice will increase to shells on Friday. The team will then enjoy two off-days before resuming activities on Monday, Aug. 10.
