YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan Head Women's Basketball Coach Fred Castro announced the addition of Kylee O'Hara (Ajax, Ontario-Henry Street (Florida International)) to the program.

"We are thrilled to have Kylee joining our family," offered Castro. "She is a six-foot guard that will fit perfectly in our defensive system as well as space the floor with her shooting ability. She played over 700 minutes as a freshman and started 29 games so she comes to Ypsilanti with a great deal of experience. Kylee will be a great fit both on and off the court."

O'Hara arrives in Ypsilanti after spending the past two seasons at Florida International University. As a freshman, she started all 29 games for the Panthers while averaging 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. In a career-day against Campbell, Nov. 25, 2018, O'Hara tallied a personal-best 16 points and career-best five blocks, and also added five rebounds. While only appearing in six games sophomore year due to injury, she averaged 1.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

A native of Ajax, Ontario, O'Hara prepped at Henry Street High School and was named to the Hooptown GTA Best in Prep Fab 48 in both 2016 and 2018. Her average of 17 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists per game also earned her a nod to the 2018 Rose Classic Senior All-Star game. O'Hara has also been invited to the Team Canada Basketball U17 and U18 assessment camps. O'Hara will join former teammate Ce'Nara Skanes (Oklahoma City, Okla.-Putnam City West (Florida International)) in Ypsilanti.

"I chose Eastern Michigan for a opportunity to excel both academically and athletically amongst a great group of people." said O'Hara.

Eastern Michigan finished the 2019-20 campaign with a 16-15 record and what would have been an appearance in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
