The society is composed of college football players from all divisions of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.

The six selections for the Eagles is tied with the University of Toledo and Western Michigan University for the most in the Mid-American Conference. Overall, an impressive 1,432 players from 364 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 14th year.

"We are pleased to honor another impressive group of athletes as part of this year's Hampshire Honor Society," said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. "For more than a decade, the Hampshire Honor Society has served as a powerful vehicle for schools to recognize their college football players who have distinguished themselves both academically and athletically, and we congratulate the schools and each of these young men for their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives."

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society capitalizes on the NFF's National Scholar-Athlete program by greatly expanding the number of scholar-athletes the NFF can recognize each year. The program further strengthens the organization's leadership role in encouraging academic performance by the student-athletes at the 775 colleges and universities with football programs nationwide. The initiative has now honored 12,127 student-athletes since its inception.

In 2019, Andrews played in all 13 games, making five starts for the Green and White. He finished the season with 46 tackles (13 solo, 33 assisted), which ranked sixth on the team. Andrews tallied 3.5 tackles-for-loss  and two sacks (17 yards), while making at least one tackle in every game played.

A third team All-MAC honoree in 2019, Beltram earned Academic All-MAC honors after starting all 13 games at linebacker. He led the team with 128 tackles (56 solo, 72 assists) and six pass breakups. Beltram recorded seven tackles-for-loss and tallied a team-best three fumble recoveries. His three fumble recoveries led the MAC and ranked sixth in the country.

Hoying, who finished his career with 253 tackles, 19.0 TFLs, 17 pass deflections, seven forced fumbles, and six interceptions, became just the seventh student-athlete in program history to collect All-MAC honors in three different seasons. Selected as MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, he tied for second in the MAC and 14th nationally in interceptions, had five games in 2019 with seven-or-more tackles. Hoying finished the regular season fifth on the squad with four TFLs and tied for the lead in pass breakups with five.

Neilson, who received Academic All-MAC honors, started all 13 games on the offensive line for the Eagles in 2019. He was part of the strong offensive line that helped lead the offense to 283.2 passing yards a game and a league-best 27 passing touchdowns. Neilson earned First Team All-MAC Preseason All-MAC honors from both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele's College Football Preview.

Rohrschneider also earned Academic All-MAC honors after played in 12 games for the Green and White last season.

Turner saw game action in 12 contests, including two starts for EMU. A 2019 Academic All-MAC selection, he finished the season as the only player to finish the year with over 100 rushing and receiving yards. Turner rushed for 26 yards and caught five passes for 27 yards at Illinois (Sept. 14), as EMU downed a team from the Big Ten Conference for the third consecutive season.
