YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball program and Head Coach Eric Roof announced two new camp offerings for the 2020 winter slate today, Jan. 15. A Pro Scout Development Camp, as well as a Youth Camp, will be offered on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the St. Joe's Sports Dome on the campus of EMU.
The Pro Scout camp is designed to provide instruction on specific aspects of the game, while also giving participants the opportunity to display their skills for the EMU coaching staff. "It is the perfect time for our coaches to see your skills before spring and summer recruiting begins," said Roof. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration is $150 for position players and $100 for pitchers.
The Youth Camp is open to participants grades K-8, and cost $60. "This camp is a great opportunity for baseball players to receive instruction from the EMU coaching staff in all areas of the game including hitting, pitching, defensive fundamentals and baserunning," offered Roof. "Campers will also have the opportunity to play live simulated games inside the dome." The camp will run from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
