Soccer is back in action while men's cross country, football, and volleyball kick off their seasons
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — It is time for everyone's favorite part of Monday as the Eastern Michigan University Athletic Department announces the Aug. 26 edition of the Eastern Insider Podcast.
Back for its second year, the Eastern Insider is available every Monday during the academic calendar, and is hosted by EMU Assistant Director of Media Relations Kyler Ludlow and Graduate Assistant Alex Jewell.
Monday's episode features talk of the 2019 Eastern football opener at Coastal Carolina, as well as Greg Steiner's interview with head coach Chris Creighton (4:12), and Kyler Ludlow's chat with head volleyball coach Darcy Dorton (14:59). This week on Peanut's Gallery, listen to Nicole Remedios (Ajax, Ont.-Archbishop Dennis O'Connor)'s sit down with Eagle offensive line Yannik Rohrschneider (Hilden, Germany-Dietrich Bonhoeffer Gymnasium) (21:03).
Podcasts, which serve as on-demand radio, have grown in popularity in recent years, and Eastern views it as a possibility to better share the stories of EMU's student-athletes and staff. The podcast will be available online at EMUEagles.com/podcast.aspx, as well as Apple iTunes, Google Play, SoundCloud, and Stitcher.
WEMU (89.1 FM) continues to be the flagship station for broadcasts of football and men's and women's basketball games.
