YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Athletic Department is kicking off the 2019-20 athletic calendar with the return of its weekly podcast, the Eastern Insider.
Back for its second year, the Eastern Insider is available every Monday during the academic calendar, and is hosted by EMU Associate Athletic Director Greg Steiner and Assistant Director Kyler Ludlow.
Monday's first episode features interviews with Head Football Coach Chris Creighton, soccer Head Coach Scott Hall, and the return of the popular segment "Peanut's Gallery", as soccer player Nicole Remedios (Ajax, Ont.-Archbishop Dennis O'Connor) sits down to interview volleyball player Raeven Chase (Toronto, Ont.-Michael Power St. Joseph Catholic).
Podcasts, which serve as on-demand radio, have grown in popularity in recent years, and Eastern views it as a possibility to better share the stories of EMU's student-athletes and staff. The podcast will be available online at EMUEagles.com/podcast.aspx, as well as Apple iTunes, Google Play, SoundCloud, and Stitcher.
WEMU (89.1 FM) continues to be the flagship station for broadcasts of football and men's and women's basketball games.
