YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University football team ushered in the new week with a practice inside the St. Joe's Sports Dome, its indoor practice facility, today, Aug. 12.
Although the weather outside was sunny, sixth-year Head Coach Chris Creighton placed an emphasis on getting his team ready for the hot and humid conditions that will likely be present during the Eagles' first game, against Coastal Carolina University, Aug. 31, in Conway, S.C. The indoor atmosphere mimics those conditions very well.
Once on the field, the Eagles continued game preparations with an assortment of individual and team-centered drills. Creighton, along with numerous other coaches, got into the spirit of competition, acting as defenders to consistently force the quarterbacks and wide-out's to maintain good discipline.
After another slate of post-practice activities, which include team meetings, a run-through, medical treatments, and weight-lifting, the team will return to "The Factory," inside Rynearson Stadium, tomorrow, Aug. 13 for another practice session on the "EMU Gray," Field Turf.

After a three-week road swing to begin the season, the Eagles open their 2019 home schedule at "The Factory" inside Rynearson Stadium Saturday, Sept. 21, versus Central Connecticut State University. Season tickets are available for purchase at EMUEagles.com/tickets, by calling 734.487.3669 or by visiting the EMU Ticket Office daily between 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

During practice, all visitors and media are expected to remain off the playing field at all times and video/photos are only allowed with permission from the football operations or media relations staff in attendance at the practice.
