Both Eagles earned top-15 marks in their efforts throughout the weekend

KINGSTON, Jamaica/MIRAMAR, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) -  Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team members sophomore Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) and freshman Alysse Marie Wade (Mansfield, Ohio-St. Peters) completed their time competing on their respective home nation's national stages Saturday through Sunday, June 22-23.
 
On Saturday, Clarke competed in the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association (JAAA) National Senior Championships in Kingston, Jamaica, participating in the hammer throw and shot put events. She earned a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw, clearing 49.64m, while finishing eighth in the shot put with a heave of 12.76m.

Sunday saw Wade finish 11th in the 100-meter hurdles competition at the USA Track and Field (USATF) U20 Outdoor Championships in Miramar, Fla., clearing the obstacles in 13.87 seconds. She bested runners from Mid-American Conference foe University of Akron and nearby Big 10 Conference member Purdue University.
