Two Eagles Prepare to Compete in National Championship Events

Kadian Clarke and Alysse Marie Wade travel to participate in national championships for their respective countries

MIRAMAR, Fla./KINGSTON, Jamaica (EMUEagles.com) - Sophomore Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) and freshman Alysse Marie Wade (Mansfield, Ohio-St. Peters) of the Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team both ready to compete for their home nations on the track and in the field Saturday through Sunday, June 22-23. Clarke travels to her home country of Jamaica to compete in the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association (JAAA) National Senior Championships, Saturday, June 22, while Wade heads to Miramar, Fla. to compete at the USA Track and Field (USATF) U20 Outdoor Championships, Sunday, June 23.

Clarke kicks off the duo's efforts Saturday, June 22,  participating in the hammer throw at 9:30 a.m. EST and the shot put competition at 5 p.m. EST.  Wade hits the track on Sunday, June 23, contesting in the 100m hurdles event at 4:39 p.m. EST.
