Expected Rain Postpones EMU-Butler Baseball Game in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) — With a high probability of afternoon rain showers, the March 20 scheduled baseball game between Eastern Michigan University and Butler University at Bulldog Park has been postponed. No makeup date has yet to be announced.
Eastern will now turn its attention to its Mid-American Conference opener Friday, March 22, at Northern Illinois University. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT with games to follow Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. CT and Sunday, March 24, at 12 p.m. CT. Live stats and video coverage will be available all weekend at NIUHuskies.com.
The Huskies, who dropped two of three to the Eagles last year, are 4-16 on the year following a 10-8 setback at Chicago State, March 19. Meanwhile, the Eagles are 3-16-1 after a weekend set at No. 20 TCU.
Head Coach Eric Roof and crew will open to home portion of the 2019 season Tuesday, March 26, against the University of Northwestern Ohio. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. with free admission at Oestrike Stadium.
