DETROIT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University football team closed out its Christmas Eve, Quick Lane Bowl, festivities with a trip to the Fowling Warehouse, located in the city's Hamtramck district tonight, Dec. 24.
Joined by the coaching staff and families, players participated in the fast-growing game which features a mesh between football and bowling. The object of the game is to strike down the opposition's pins by throwing a football. Despite the high talent levels of the individuals, the event proved that not everyone is capable of throwing the ball like senior quarterback Mike Glass III.
The end of the night was capped with the Quick Lane Bowl's annual "Fowl-off," a competition between the two teams competing in the game. Four players from both EMU and Pittsburgh took part. This year, it was the Eagles that came out on top. For their efforts, EMU will have its name inscribed on a championship trophy.
