Soccer wins first Scholar Athlete of the Week since 2015

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference announced that Eastern Michigan University soccer student-athlete Kristin Hullibarger (Brooklin, Ontario-Donald A. Wilson) has been named the female Scholar Athlete of the Week, Nov. 13.

The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented weekly to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during the week's competition.

The redshirt senior holds a 3.75 GPA in her sport management studies. This is the second Scholar Athlete of the Week honor for Hullibarger, who was also the last soccer player to win the award, Sept. 9, 2015.

Leading the Eagles during their MAC Tournament run, Hullibarger broke the program's single-game scoring record in the semifinals against Ohio, Nov. 8, scoring four goals to lead Eastern to the 5-2 win. For her performance during the run to the championship game, Hullibarger was named to the All-Tournament team. The Brooklin, Ontario native ended her EMU Soccer career with 59 career points, which ranks sixth all-time in program history.
